Steve Jobs (Apple's CEO) has launched the first release of iPhone outside the US. At a special media event held yesterday in London, he announced that the iPhone will be available from November 9 in the UK.The exclusive carrier this time is O2. The phone will be the same model as the one released in the US, 8GB (so no 3G). The price will be £269 (including VAT) for the phone.
From the carrier point of view, there are 3 plans (£35, £45, £55) all with unlimited data. The contract is 18 months. Apple and O2 has also made arrangement with The Cloud so that customers can use their free Wi-Fi spot (about 7500 locations).
